Hanoi completed the investment study of intersections at Vinh Tuy Bridge area

Department of Planning and Architecture of Hanoi has just consulted with Hanoi Department of Transport on appraising the feasibility study report of Vinh Tuy Bridge construction investment project, phase 2, in which the proposal continued. Continuing to research and invest intersections to enhance the bridge’s traffic connection.

According to the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture, the Capital Construction Master Plan and the Capital Transportation Planning approved by the Prime Minister identified Vinh Tuy Bridge as a road bridge across the Red River on the route. Ring road 2.

At present, the bridge has been invested to build half of the bridge cross section. Therefore, the implementation of Vinh Tuy Bridge phase 2 is in accordance with the plan. The content of bridge design phase 2 in the feasibility study report prepared by the Transport – Transport Design Consultant Corporation in 2020 is basically consistent with the planning.

The Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture noted that currently, according to the Capital Transport Planning approved by the Prime Minister, the planning of two main urban trunk roads along the Red River is planned.

According to the relevant urban subdivision plans, it is expected that at the location of Vinh Tuy Bridge intersection with existing dike roads (2 urban trunk roads with the alignment along the Red River dike) will form nodes. level delivery.

Therefore, it is necessary to continue studying the intersection to consider investing in the next stages to ensure enhanced traffic connectivity of the bridge, thereby promoting the efficiency of investment projects.

Regarding the architecture of the bridge, according to the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture, the project file currently does not contain the architectural design. However, according to the opinion of the Ministry of Transport, the project is subject to the competition for architectural options, because it has been approved since 2011 and now invested to complete the bridge as planned and to accelerate. schedule, so it is not appropriate to conduct architectural examination.

In the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 214 / QD-TTg of February 7, 2020, approving the investment policy of the project, it is determined: Complete the entire section (with another bridge) with the size and shape of the project. The design is similar to the bridge in phase 1. Therefore, in principle, the architectural plan of phase 2 bridge must be consistent with the existing bridge shape and do not conduct the selection of architectural options.
